Our Mission

“Never underestimate the difference you can make in the lives of others. Step forward, reach out, and help. Reach out to someone that might need a lift.” — Pablo

Our Mission

At Me is We, our mission is simple: we’re here to revolutionize social support by going back to traditional ways of community-centered living. Our goal is to build a sustainable eco-village that focuses on healing, helping, and growing healthy families. By providing financial, emotional, and communal support to struggling parents and fostering orphaned children, we believe that we can create a healthier collective and a healthier tomorrow. And it starts right now. Although our goal is to build a community, our first steps involve being on the ground in Belize with our sister organization Menzies Philanthropic Foundation whose mission is to empower the people of Belize to live their best lives and reach their full potential by supporting education initiatives, workforce development, health, and wellness programs.

Our Values

At Me Is We, we believe that each child, each person who walks through our door is a divine light with purpose that is beyond measure. Every decision we make, every program we offer, and every conversation we have is rooted in that belief. We are an organization that prioritizes the collective good by honoring the individual. In doing so, we are able to create programs that serve the needs of the Belizean People. Ultimately, our foundation’s values revolve around the cornerstones of our project: environmental protection and incorporating sustainable models into every aspect of Me is We. We want to create systems that provide for themselves while providing for the children and families who live on the island. The pillars of our community are supported by the integration of our 12 core values and the Shirley Menzies 7 Basic Needs.

“There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children. History will judge us by the difference we make in the everyday lives of children.” -Nelson Mandela
