Our Vision
“A vision is not just a picture of what could be; it is an appeal to our better selves, a call to become something more.” Rosabeth Moss Kanter
We envision a conscious community to be built in Belize that pioneers a new model of sustainable eco-community that focuses on healing, helping, and growing healthy families.
We will strive to provide financial, emotional, and communal support to orphaned children and struggling families. In doing so, we believe that we can create a healthier collective and a more sustainable future. Our conscious community will address all 17 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals that align with our universal human values and showcase what is possible for an intentional ecosystem that thrives and prospers in the modern era.
We envision a community model that forges a sustainable pathway out of the cycle of poverty and generational trauma so that we can heal our people, our land, and our future. The model that we are forging, ensures that every individual is supported, responsible, and accountable to the whole community living together as a village or tribe… “ME is WE”.
Me Is We is grounded in the fundamental awareness that WE ARE ALL CONNECTED.
We are focused on building an innovative template for communal living, healing, personal development, and self actualization. We are committed to creating holistic, systemic solutions that will breed wealth and wellness in Belize and beyond. By working with our sister foundation, Menzies Philanthropic, we are able to assess short and long-term needs, and create programs, training, and infrastructure that will shift the paradigm of social services . Building this community depends entirely on the needs of the people we hope to serve. We are confident that we will be able to show up for the community in ways that are empowering, supportive, uplifting, and meaningful.
As an organization, what’s important to us is intention and impact. Both Me is We, and Menzies Philanthropic Foundation were founded by Belizean natives who experienced firsthand how challenging it can be to grow up with insufficient resources in a single-parent home. Our vision and purpose is driven by the experiences of our founder, with the intention of providing support in new and innovative ways that will enable each resident that passes through the community to realize their God-given potential, no matter what trauma or hardship they have experienced.
Forging a new path is never easy, but we are not looking to place a bandaid on a growing problem, we are looking to change the trajectory of the most vulnerable people, and thereby strengthen a nation.
With your help, not only will the vision become a reality in Belize, but countries around the world needing new solutions for growing social problems!
